Haranah Tours Corporation continues to expand its global network of partners during its participation to the WTM London.
Spearheaded by the Department of Tourism and Tourism Promotions Board, the PH delegation who attended the 3 day event from November 6-8, 2017 at the ExCel London Convention Center located in the Borough of Newham once again aims to conduct business to business meetings to establish and renew linkages with industry counterparts in Europe and other key travel and tourism markets of the world that would catalyze new tourism business and tourist arrivals for the Philippines. 18 tour operators and 12 hotels and resorts conducted business with the world at the Philippine Pavilion, along with up to 9 important delegates from the House of Representatives who came to promote their unique regional destinations.
As a tradition and highlight of the Philippine participation, Filipino designer Renee Salud presented on the last day of the event "Mindanao Tapestry", a fashion gala celebrating the rich culture of Mindanao by featuring contemporary fashions made from ethnic fibers endemic to Mindanao, including: "inuol" fabric from ARMM region, "seputangan", "palipattang" and "bunga-sama" from Zamboanga Peninsula and Tinalak (the quintessential Mindanao fibre). Mr Jaime Tan, President, and Ms Jasmine Tan, Managing Director, represented Haranah Tours Corporation for the important travel show.
